Jason Liekhus is a native Pacific coast artist. He was born in Seattle, and has lived in Tokyo and San Francisco for extended periods. Because of his multicultural background, he paints mainly on the topic of human language and the urban experience. His personal linguistic background is reflected in his photo-realistic renderings of mouths in the act of speech. His love of culture and travel take form in well nigh impressionistic cityscapes. Jason has been active in the San Francisco art community for several years. He has shown in venues such as Space, Balazo and the Dennis Rae Gallery, and has participated in events hosted by the Local365 collective.

Having graduated magna cum laude from the fine art department of the Academy of Art University, Jason now lives and works in San Francisco. He holds two state teachings certifications, and has an extended background in academia. His main focus, aside from travel and language acquisition, is the development of his career in education and art.
