Art Attack art studio offers instruction in general art, with an emphasis on drawing, illustration, and oil painting. Students are taught basic drawing techniques (using pencil and charcoal) and beginning color theory (using pastels and oil paints). All ability levels and specific artistic interests are welcome as class size enables the instructor to help each artist with their separate project. Our students receive substantial individual attention as they work on challenging and ongoing art assignments. See below, for class descriptions and a color-coordinated corresponding schedule.

CHILDREN AGES 7 THRU ADULT: We offer 2 hour drawing and oil painting classes for children, and 2 or 3 hour drawing and oil painting classes for teens and adults. New students begin with drawing exercises followed by a still life oil painting of a basic form to demonstrate the application of technique to 3-D objects. Then, with the help and guidance of the instructor, students are encouraged to choose their own projects and mediums to put into practice the techniques they are learning. For beginning, intermediate and advanced students. All supplies included.

CHILDREN AGES 5 AND UP: This course is designed to introduce young students to fine art concepts while exploring different types of mediums. Pencil, Charcoal, Pastels, Watercolor, Acrylic and Low Fire Clays. For beginning, intermediate and advanced students. All supplies included.

AGES 17 AND UP (14 and up with parents signed permission): This course focuses on understanding and rendering the human body and face. Students learn from step-by-step demonstrations concerning the breakdown of anatomical forms, and how these structures relate through proportion and shading. Clothed and nude live models are employed for alternating sessions. Instruction is primarily in charcoal, though oils and other media are available and encouraged. AGES 13 AND UP: Paint with us and let us provide dinner! Enjoy all the benefits of our regular drawing and painting classes with the addition of pizza and snacks.
